Jake I guess in your case I would look at four things. 1) Does the power steering work as it should ? I'd pull the proportioning valve and check that out, ( it also puts oil to the other hdy functions )the spring maybe broken or the valve may have crud in it. While it is out pull the coil wire and spin over the engine to purge the oil galleys in the front transmission cover. PS throw a rag in to catch the oil...LOL. 2) Check to see if you have pressure at the remote hdy on the rear of the tractor. Their is also a place under the seat to check the oil supply to the rock shaft, but if you don't have pressure on the remotes you wont have any their either. 3) Please don't hate me for this, the micro screen in the filter is very hard to clean, skip the industrial parts cleaner and boil it out with hot, hot , hot water and soap along with compressed air. Rinse with plain hot water and dry. Then stand it hole side up and fill with oil, if it is slow to let the oil out it is not clean. Repeat the procedure till the oil flows freely. 4) You may be in for rebuilding the rock shaft assembly, any other questions please ask. PS if you feel like reading about other peoples past problems on the subject, drop down to the John Deere Forum and put my name in the search function. LOL..
