That rock was about the size of one my brother dug out with a shovel the first year he started farming 50 some years ago. My Grand Father had been catching his plow on it for years before he died and my brother started farming the farm. He dug for days with a shovel and was able to roll it up on top of the ground with the wrapping a chain to roll tricks. He had a new John Deere 3010 and after it was on top he couldn't pull it. Dad had bought a new 1600 Oliver that he hooked ahead of the Deere and with both tractors they were able to skid it into a fence row.
