I guess if you aren't concerned about acres per hour, go for it. My customers want the best cut at the best price, I run 5-7 mph with both mowers, Bush Hog cuts good, JD didn't. Why would I slow down to 3 mph just because the mower doesn't cut well at that speed? Same mower, same tractor, same speed, same conditions...JD doesn't cut it (parden the pun).
Ask the dealer if you can try it out...that would be the best way to decide.
