My little town has an annual observance that I usually attend. This year was different in that the towns two civil war cannon had been restored and were to be not only displayed but actually fired. I was extremely surprised to find that I was part of the program! I had helped on the project in what I thought was an insignificant way, but I was presented with a beautiful commemorative pen, made from a piece of one of the old wheels, and then asked to pull the lanyard to fire one. A very pleasant surprise.

Today's Featured Article - Earthmaster Project Progress Just a little update on my Earthmaster......it's back from the dead! I pulled the head, and soaked the stuck valves with mystery oil overnight, re-installed the head, and bingo, the compression returned. But alas, my carb foiled me again, it would fire a second then flood out.
