I grew up on a farm with dairy, hogs and grain farming. When dad decided it was time for the dairy to go, he had a truck come early one morning and they were gone. He got into beef cows some for his love of animals. Years later, I asked if he missed the dairy. He said sometimes, but then he would think of all the years he could never take a vacation for mom or us kids and no, he maybe waited too long to do it. And he did not want to leave the dairy for us to carry on with our families and see our families sacrificing too. Looking back at all we have seen and done that would never be possible if tied down with dairy, I am thankful for that.

Today's Featured Article - Restoration Story: Fordson Major - by Anthony West. George bought his Fordson Major from a an implement sale about 18 years ago for £200.00 (UK). There is no known history regarding its origins or what service it had done, but the following work was undertaken alone to bring it up to show standard. From the engine number, it was found that this Major was produced late 1946. It was almost complete but had various parts that would definitely need replacing.
