Well, believe what you will! For ME the proof is in two of the above pictures.... My 1949 Farmall C CAN and WILL pull a 2 x 14 plow. YES it is in 1st gear, YES it is slower than and H, and YES it will get the job done.
The engine in that C is BRAND NEW, we went through it, and it has new everything, so it is very strong. As any true Farmall collector will tell you, granted Farmall C's only have about 19 horse, but I'll be damned if ALL 19 of those horses aren't pullin!
I personally think that my tractor/plow setup is one of the best in our local club. It works VERY well, and leaves VERY nice, clean furrows. I am proud of it, and that is what counts!
You know, it might also be our soil, because a neighbor used to have a Farmall B, and he would pull a 2 x 14 trailer plow through virgin ground like nothing... Bryce
