TJH72,I am with DeltaRed here,,, NO Way In H3LL would I rent My machine to him, to put on his tractor his operator! BUT................ In this part of Texas Professional Post Hole Drillers who have the Right kind of Post hole diggers to go through solid rock and the like..... Charge $100/hr,(2hr/min, $200) Whether it is one hole or all he can punch in 2hrs. That Said........ You run your tractor, You Operate it, he has it marked/laid off, and go after it. $200 for the first 2 hrs and $100/hr after that. You know what type of soils Y'all have and a ruff estimate on how long it will take. Tell Him that is the Deal, Take it Or leave it You running the machine lessens the chances of catastrophic breakdowns. If he doesn't like it Tell him to go buy his own machine or find one to rent in town or get a local Fence builder to custom drive the post for him!! I will bet their rate is similar. Looks to me like a $500 Saturday project! Hope this helps! Later, John A.
