NH discontinued the 1465 because the demand plummeted to near nothing due to discbine sales. I imagine the 488 is the model your talking about, that too has been built for years and is basically unchanged and is not cheapened up but isn't as nice as the 1465s were. Not sure why you would be having plugging issues.
