I have two, need to get the fresh flywheel on the one I learned to cut wood with. Pretty good saw besides the weight. I was looking into selling them and getting a newer lighter saw, but everywhere I looked, was offered $200 for the one that runs with the low-use bar and a spare chain, $100 for the one that needs the flywheel installed and a recoil. Evilpay prices are higher than what most are willing to pay for one. Sounds a little high for what I was finding price-wise, unless it's in perfect condition and the bar and chain are new. If it's sound mechanically, it might be worth it, especially if he's willing to help with any repairs and show you how to tune it properly. Do yourself a favor and get a 20 inch bar and chain for it, save the 28 for the really big stuff.
