I went to the Allis Chalmers auction in Sparta, Ill. yesterday for the tractor portion of the sale. There were a lot of dollars being spent on those Allis's. Most had top shelf paint jobs but there was a lot of oil on the ground after the sale.
The bargain of the day was the Massey Ferguson 65 that someone took home for $2600. As new tires, full set of front weights, nice paint, no leaks.
I didn't write down prices but notably the D21 diesel with duals went for $33,000. and a nicely painted U went for $10,750. (?)
My favorite of the sale was this Oliver and I'm not an Oliver guy.
