AMF had a penchant for just about destroying every company they ever owned. Worked in their bowling pin plant in Lowville for about two years. They are pretty good at destroying employees, too. About everyone in that plant over 45 has a bad back or messed up shoudlers. The two years I was there eight employees "retired". Two of them made it to 62 and they weren't in very good shape. Nobody working on the line even considers working until 66. They did have a good 401 plan though. Much better than most.
