That's why I leave it, clover and dandelion, and sure I'd love to have award winning turf grasses, it would look great, just that the rabbits, deer, and woodchucks, would then really focus on my garden. I am loaded with cottontail, most are not afraid, I have a little one I have to watch out for, the other day he was right under my feet, some will sprawl out in the driveway on a warm lazy afternoon, at least there's one critter that just does not bother the garden, because the lawn is chock full of good forage.
