Just because you can build something, and it performs its intended task well, doesn't mean it will be a commercial success.
For one thing, this tractor may be better at cultivating than a more general-purpose tractor, but it really isn't much use for anything else, unlike a general-purpose tractor.
For another thing, they more were expensive for what they were. I expect they were more expensive to buy than a general-purpose tractor of the same HP rating.
If they had been able to market it at a price point that was on par with the competition, or even better, less, the tractor would have been a wild success. But, small production means large production cost, a lot of hand work, very little automation, no discounts on materials or castings... Ultimately it resulted in an overpriced tractor that may have been the best machine on the planet for cultivating delicate crops, but just couldn't be justified by your average delicate crop farmer.
