That reminds of a story an ex-farmer told me many years ago. They had sold some straw 'Off The field' and they had just finished loading a great big truck with bales and The Farmer's wife called them all into the house for a much welcomed cup of tea and some cake, so they all went into the farmhouse, leaving the truck in the field. Of course, you know what happens, 1 cup of tea becomes 2 cups of tea and they all got chatting, telling stories and jokes. Meanwhile nobody noticed that out there the sky was sort of getting a bit dark..... Suddenly there was an almighty bang and flash followed by what he described as one of the most torrential downpours he had ever seen in his whole life. When it eventually did stop there was the truck stood in a large puddle, when he tried to move it it just stood there scratching. Hitching up a tractor made no difference...she was firmly stuck. The only way they could pull it out was to unload every last bale off of it again!
