As you can see from the video, the top link adjustment and the box blade's front-to-back tilt is the big secret.
Short top link, blade tilted forward means more cutting.
Long top link, blade tilted to the rear means less cutting, more smoothing.
Tilting left-to-right by lengthening one lift arm adjuster will give you a way to ditch, or with a less aggressive tilt, put a crown in a driveway.
It is really, REALLY handy to have a hydraulic top link so you can adjust the cut angle on the fly. It's nice to be able to tweak the amount of cut while pulling instead of hopping on and off the tractor a dozen times trying to get it right.
If you do much box blade work at all, the expense of a hydraulic top link is well worth it.
