I drive my pickup so slow that the kids hate to ride with me.
I drive my big truck as fast as it will go especially when on a out of town run. 5 mph may not seem like much but over 10 or 11 hours it adds up to getting home a hour earlier. But I do not pay for the fuel in my big truck.
My son-in-law had a bad problem of keeping his brick foot out of it when driving his big truck. My daughter was doing his books one day and noticed his mpg. Told him if I have to bring that truck in and have it turned down; I will turn it down to 60 just because you made me take the time to do it. He had it turned down to 71 at his next service.
