8Ns shared Many parts with 9Ns and 2Ns. If the part was originally designed and installed on a 9N it would retain a 9N part number for as long as it was used in production or untill it was superceded by a later part. Here is an example. 2N upper and lower spindle bushings were part # 2N3109 (1.250" I.D., 1.370" O.D., 1.500" long) That same exact bushing/part # was used on all 8Ns and for the Upper spindle bushing on all of the Jubilees, Hundred Series and smaller Thousand Series (2000, 3000, 4000)Ford tractors.
