I got it at 37, type 1 but only take around 36 units a day. I just rolled over to 73 and still farm and active but have slowed down these last few years. I did get an insulin exemption CDL. I have been on the pump for around 10 years because I can not tell my lows but have never passed out. Can not imagine how it would be to go through this for family and the diabetic at that young age. We do have friends that have kids who had diabetes at that age.
I have just chaged from the Silhouette infusion set to the Sure T. They are only 1/4" long and very thin. My stomach is starting to look less like a porcupine had hit me.
