The batteries sold at Wally World labeled RV/Marine I consider Quasi Deep Cycle Batteries.
They can deliver a high enough short term burst of current to start a fairly huge outboard motor PLUS have some deep cycle capacity to operate a low current but long term draw like a boats 12 VDC trolling motor.
A true Deep Cycle battery like used on golf carts are designed more for a slow but very deep low current discharge. Yes, they could still start a car, but are designed (plate design) for less current longer term deeper discharge.
A automotive Starting Battery is designed to deliver a sudden short term but very high current to start the engine. Yes they could still "operate" a golf cart but not as well as a deep cycle battery does.
If you have to start a hefty sized outboard but still want to use the trolling motor, an RV/Marine can be fine.........If you want a car to start well a regular auto battery is fine.........If you do extended dry camping in an RV then a true deep cycle golf cart type battery is good.
