They use to haul 32, 3 wide, 6 long on the bottom, 2 wide and 5 on second row and 4 on top. With the bigger round bales that are more densely packed, they want the customers to stack them 6 long 3 wide with 10 on second row and then leave the top 4 off for a total of 28 bales. Without the bales on the way top it lowers center of gravity and the trucks won't sway as much. We use a pull type tractor mover and only haul 20 at a time. I can't imagine what there insurance rates are for the large movers. For the most part I have not heard of any accidents with these movers. They don't move at night, snowy weather, or fog, and for the most part try to stay off of the busy highways. I don't know how many miles they get off of a set of tires. The pusher axles ahead and behind of the drive axles are up when empty.
