I am not sure about the weight but I pulled a 27' D from Ft Cambell, KY to abit north of Springfield, MO with a 4.7 2003 Dodge 1500 & every day 16ft trailer with 7500lb axles without any problems. There are some hills along the way but nothing major. One thing to take into account this time of year is the Heat. If its hot, say 85+ I would start the trip back with the load after sunset. Heat takes its toll on alot of thing's. With the sun down and cooler temperature you significantly lower your risk of overheating the motor, wheel bearings, tranny, and tires. With the cover of darkness I wouldn't think the law would be to concerned about the Lbs you paid for on your licsense plates. Lets see a Picture of the old timer, being a 27' It'll be 90 years old in 3 years and I always enjoy seeing others.
