I too have done my fair share of wood making, and to tell the truth,wasn't all to broken up with paying a fair price to not go out in the woods to make it up. But, at one time or another, I have to draw the line at reasonable prices and his excuse "the Mills made me do it". At least we only use one indoor forced air furnace and don't have to feed 3 or four stoves daily. I think I would just live in two rooms and close the others off till spring.lol. A few years ago my son put in a new oil furnace (lennox) high efficient furnace when fuel oil was a little over a buck per gallon. The next few years oil went sky high,and we quit fuel oil and burnt wood again.Wasn't about to pay 3-4 bucks a gallon to heat when wood was cheaper,all be it, a little more work.So now we keep a little oil on hand for a backup heat and when it gets below -30 to boost the heat back up in the house to above 75deg.I do feel sorry for all the younger folks out there who will have it tougher to pay for heating costs,as they will undoubtedly get even more exorbitant thru the years,along with further rules and regulations put on them by certain agencies.All my family will help in doing wood again until prices drop from the "mill". Just take care of yourself while you're younger, as you to may be in the same boat someday.Thanks again for the birthday wish. Regards LOU
