Dan T, Yes prices was static and firm. Yes we price gas, 2 cycle oil, bars and chain as we use those every year.and the price here hasn't risen over .05 cent for gas and 2 cycle oil. Bars and chain hasn't went up here. Loggers get a heck of a break on their consumables such as chainsaw chain, if they still use them. Most went to machinery that does all the labor.1 man sets inside a machine cuts down the tree, peels the limbs, hauls it out and stacks it,waiting for the trucker. Gone are the days of 20 men cutting down trees limbing them cutting to lengths and waiting for the skidder to pick them up.
