The consensus seems to be you were getting a very good deal, and even after the increase the price is still quite fair. Everybody hates to lose out on a good deal; around here we get a lot of wailing and gnashing of teeth from south of Eight Mile Road whenever there's talk of cutting gov't benefits. There is no free lunch and every gravy train comes to an end sooner or later.
I wonder how many competitors your supplier has, and what their prices are? Maybe you should shop around. What you might decide is that you should eat the price increase to ensure your supplier stays in business and continues to provide you with a reliable supply.
