I wondered who bought plants.
I did buy heirloom apple trees, but that's it. This year gave away 50+ hostas to friends with a new house. They had spread well beyond where we wanted them. Hummingbirds are fun to watch every morning getting into the new blooms.
Couple of years ago I was getting overrun with yuccas, ran a craigslist ad and delighted some folks with a difficult slope who hauled off 45 of them. Nice tall white blooms about now.
My raspberries are producing like crazy, canes I brought home from an excavation a few years ago. Tough life when you have so many raspberries you share them with the neighbors. Always surprises me when I encounter no interest in taking some canes for themselves. Mine receive no care other than cutting off old canes.
