: Is it very complicated or does one need special tools and skills. Any insight on the procedure would be greatly appriciated. One safety note: Diesel pump make a lot of pressure. They can easily inject diesel fuel right through you. It is a very difficult problem to correct, usually requiring extensive surgery or, in some cases, amputation of the affected limb. Be careful when working on these systems! And, yes, it does require special tools and equipment to service them. I will tackle any part of a tractor, except for Diesel pumps and injectors. I always take them to the diesel shop and let the experts deal with them. It's not worth the expense for me to obtain all those tools and equipment to work on the few diesel parts I have trouble with!
