Four or five years ago I was outside our motel at about 6am in Pidgeon Forge Tn. Some older guy had a brand new Prius, doors, hood and trunk open. He just bought it a couple days before could explain anything about them, he'd make a good salesman, he said the battery cost 6or8 thousand but had about a 100 thousand mile warranty. My neighbors son has a used one and he told me you could now get an aftermarket batt. for 4 grand.
