The 1270 was a bit of an orphin in the Case line of tractors. It was powered by the tried and proven Case BDT451 engine and the engine was linked to it's bigger bros., 13 and 15 trannys, which did have some larger clutch packs and planetary axle gear sets. A big drawback around here was the 1000rpm only PTO, and the fact, that for a couple K more you could own a 1370 with the 504BDT engine. Around here central NY., a 1270 as you describe, which is mechanically sound would bring 4-5K. Loren, the Acg.
