JD,I don't like to travel too far in 1 day either, so I know where you are coming from.My wife grew up in Brown Co., but we live in Ky., about 45 minutes away, so it's an easy ride for us. The show has a bunch of demonstrations, a big sawmill,shingle maker,rock crusher,stationary hay baler,a steam shovel, and a bunch of hit and miss engine stuff, and maybe a few things I'm forgetting. But, I prefer to see things being used rather than just on display, so last years steam tractor plowing was big treat for me. I may try to see 1 of the Century of Progress shows someday, but when I make a trip like that I try to make a week of it and sightsee along the way. Mark

Today's Featured Article - Restoration Story: Fordson Major - by Anthony West. George bought his Fordson Major from a an implement sale about 18 years ago for £200.00 (UK). There is no known history regarding its origins or what service it had done, but the following work was undertaken alone to bring it up to show standard. From the engine number, it was found that this Major was produced late 1946. It was almost complete but had various parts that would definitely need replacing.
