How do you extrapolate that study, which only looks at inflammatory bowel disease in Denmark, to come up with the idea that country folks are healthier than urban dwellers? Ridiculous! Many states with large rural populations have terrible health statistics. Mississippi, Arkansas, Louisiana and Alabama are at the bottom of the list. Healthiest state in the country? Hawaii, which has most of its population packed into the island of Oahu.

In fact, results from the oldest age group seem to show that it made no difference whether the subjects grew up in town or country."
