That's an easy pump to change. Been a few years, I guess they haven't changed that much. Just drop the lower unit, and there it is. I always replaced the whole pump. The gearcase seals are in the lower pump housing, when the pump fails the plastic melts and won't hold the seals tight. There is an oil passage between the upper and lower housing, be sure to top up the oil when done.
The pump on the front of the engine is just a circulation pump. Don't recall ever having to replace one.
There is also a water hose between the sterndrive and the intermediate housing. Be sure it is intact.
