When you come into PA on 70 after about 15 miles look to your right behind a big mall. You'll see a gas rig and I'll wave to you! But in Wheeling there is a Cabelas if you want to stop there. In PA on 70 there isn't much to see/do unless you stop around Washington, PA. There are some neat things around there. A mall, casino, Outlet shopping. Once on 70 youll go through Donegal, then Somerset, Bedford(really neat historic town), Breezewood Etc. But Definitely have to go to the Shady Maple. Amazing smorgasbord. Lots of amish country out there and lots big commercial farms surrounding some of the Amish. If you are in Lancaster you aren't too far from Hershey. Really neat town with museums and an amusement park if you have kids coming with you. When coming back if you want a scenic route and can afford an extra hour or two. Take 81 south out of Harrisburg to 68 across Maryland and WV. Lots of beautiful country there. And 68 will take you to Morgantown, WV where you can take 79 back to 70 or there are a lot of smaller highways that can take you up to 70 anywhere along that route. It will slow you down though as some are windy. If you do take 68 try and check out Ohiopyle state park. Beautiful old waterfalls with lots of history of a grain milling town. And Fallingwaters is near there too. Frank Lloyd Wrights design of a house over a stream. Just some suggestions for you. Enjoy the trip.
