And I see that our 911 service is being modified to accept text messages. Could there be anything more idiotic than reporting an emergency by TEXT? If some clown is shooting at me, I think I want to get my message across as fast as possible. I thought there were grown-ups running 911- guess I was wrong.
Am reminded of the first time I heard of texting- on the Tonight Show. Jay Leno held up a phone, and explained it (in those days, you had to push the 2 button once for an "A", 3 times for "C", etc.) Then he turned to the audience and said, "Its a PHONE, people! You can TALK on it!"

Today's Featured Article - Restoration Story: Fordson Major - by Anthony West. George bought his Fordson Major from a an implement sale about 18 years ago for £200.00 (UK). There is no known history regarding its origins or what service it had done, but the following work was undertaken alone to bring it up to show standard.
