Texting is just another way to communicate. 15 years ago people were complaining about how impersonal email was and how it was wrecking social interaction. Now everybody has email. Would you give yours up? I doubt it. 25 years ago people complained about voice mail or answering machines. They didn't like it or wouldn't leave a message. But who here would give their's up today? Yes I use texting. The lady I'm working for sent me the password to arm/disarm her home security system and the code to open her garage door via text. Now I have them on my phone and can refer to them and not lose them like I might a piece of paper. Send a text and the person will get back to me whenever they can. If I need an answer Now, I just call. I will agree that I don't like to answer a bunch of questions by text - or email for that matter. If I'm selling something and get a text about it I just reply. Call me. Simple
