Thursday I was helping sil who had rented a trencher to put in a power wire about 80 feet. He hit a couple of rocks and had to go back and forth and finally raising the stinger to get past the problem and also with roots resulting in loose dirt falling back in the 4" trench. I suggested getting his shop vac and suck out the loose dirt and he gave me a funny look and while trying to get it out with a 2x4 and sharpshooter he got the vac and started sucking the loose dirt out. It worked like a charm and we emptied the vac about three times with no adverse affects.
Someone on this forum had used his vac and posted about it and it works! The ground was really dry and it was already ground up from the trencher. Thanks for posting.
