Bandit Farmer. I hate to rain on the owners parade but you could have bought that exact tractor from JD that way. The shifter on the floor was common in the RS (Row Crop special tractors). I know that most of the row crops had the shifter on the dash but not all did. Also the rear end was used on some of the JD 1010 row crop tractors. It always made me wonder why a 35 PTO HP tractor had a 540/1000 PTO on it.
That is why he was able to bolt it all together. The Dubuque plant used many common parts on the 40,420,430, and the JD 1010. Also there must have been hundreds of combinations of those parts used in the JD 1010. I have owned several and they all where different.
I had a JD 1010 RS that had full independent PTO but the lever was out on the fender not next to the transmission housing. I have seen very few that way.
