Only tractors newer than about 1980 have common hydraulic couplers. ( TX Jim The underlined "about" suit you???? In the next sentence I stated that JD started with the 50 series)
Up until the JD 50 series JD had their own style couplers.
IH had their own too until half way through the 86 series tractors.
Ford used pioneer tips but with different tips/balls on the ends.
AC used pioneer couplers basically since they started with remote hydraulics.
So if you are looking at older equipment than you may need to convert some of the couplers over to Pioneer barrels. I know CIH and JD offer kits to convert the older style couplers over. Just watch as some of the early JD 10 series couplers do not have a kit available to convert them.
Up until the mid 1980s I carried a bucket full of adaptors and hose ends to make things work on different tractors/implements.
