I spy a yellow sticker troy bilt horse ! LOL ! I vaguely recall the previous one and when you posted about its replacement, time sure does pass.
I keep an eye on the CL ads, not only for my interest, but for others, more so if they need or are looking for something. I will pick items up, and or hold, but do refrain unless I know for sure, don't want to be a hoarder, though had I the room and a little more budget room, ..... well glad I don't... be stacked to the ceiling LOL !! Regretfully, I passed on 2-3 spare engines for these horse models, originals that would bolt up, 2 kohler 7HP and 1 Tecsumseh, just this past spring, guy had an incomplete horse, might have been the tiller missing, engine and transmission were there, it ran. Would still have to check them over, make sure they run ok. A good friend, his dad had 2 horse models, one now has some trans issue, won't spin the tines, so I tried to hook him up with this one, the deal would have ended up with completing his and a spare motor left over. His son is on track to becoming a mechanic, manufacturer certified with formal schooling and all, figured it would have been a great little project for him, but you can lead a horse to water..... you know the rest. These were all $100 items or less, very inexpensive. Had I known or remembered, would have been no problem, would have gave me an excuse to make a visit to NJ, LOL ! Been years since I've been down that way. I'll keep a look out, make no promises, but like "Red" "Morgan Freeman" said in the movie "shawshank redemption" "I've been known to find things from time to time" LOL !!!!

Today's Featured Article - Restoration Story: Fordson Major - by Anthony West. George bought his Fordson Major from a an implement sale about 18 years ago for £200.00 (UK). There is no known history regarding its origins or what service it had done, but the following work was undertaken alone to bring it up to show standard. From the engine number, it was found that this Major was produced late 1946. It was almost complete but had various parts that would definitely need replacing.
