Real Good question Milan. When replacing the top cover on a Roosa Master the solenoid should be placed as far forward as possible and then slid back into posistion. The shut-off arm on the solenoid will then be in the correct position. Failure to do this properly will end up with the arm wedged between the linkage and the throttle shaft. With the arm wedged in place the shut-off arm holds the linkage in the wide open position and run-a-way takes place.New solenoids called "high force" require a special tool to install.
When installing a manual shut-off clip on a Roosa Master the clip should also not be wedged between the linkage and the shaft .
Once saw a technician check a pump for a leak and improperly install the top cover. The engine ran away and they stopped the engine with a fire extinguisher! Cost us two thousand dollars to clean the engine and the mans pants out.
