: Whats the value of a MF135 diesel. Tractor is rebuilt completely from head to toe. Were there any bad points to this model tractor. Is a 2000 Ford a better tractor? My dad bought one in order to get a MF silage chopper (package deal) around 1970. I remember that he didn't want the tractor at the time, but after he used it for haying the next summer he fell in love with it. I think it has about 7000 hours on it now with only one overhaul and a few other problems. Dad is retired now, and my brothers all have to have the big tractors, so the 135 is just used for brush hog duty. I have many fond memories of that tractor. Once we put the old tires (14.9x28) from our WD45 diesel on it --it was REALLY fast then. Dad decided to go back to the 13.6x28 after my little brother almost rolled it coming down the road (down a hill with MPower in low--tried to take the corner at around 40 mph) -- unfortunately my dad saw the whole thing!! Dad paid $2000 for the package -- but I have seen the tractor advertised for around $5000 in the last few years. They seem to be a popular tractor since they are about the same size as the 8N Ford, but much stronger. Non-farmers who can afford to spend more $$$$$ are driving up the prices of these tractors. The good news -- they will certainly hold there value in the years to come.
