Hi when it"s running check for any rattling sounds from the clutch area that come and go when pressing the clutch pedal. those tractors can have bearing issues on the input shaft to the gear box. Had one here did it for years. But you won"t know how many years it did it, and might quit sooner rather than later. as said they can be gear jumpers my 180 was. Does the power diverter work properly also. The 180 I had, the motor was worn out but still ran nice, running good and good starting doesn"t always follow a real nice motor, sometimes that can lead to a false economy when buying used tractors, seen some real nice running motors be junk on tear down in my shop for customers the only real thing noticeable was a small amount of blow by on the breather tube.
