Did mine about 10 years ago, remove all obstructions in the chamber, loosen the up and down adjustments on the bottom of the plunger wood, loosen the side adjustments on the chamber, unhook the tie rod and slide out the back. I replaced the wood and the metal slides, the wood is hard maple, I just adjusted mine up and you can smell it when baling. I got the parts from the local NH Dealer, they got them from that obsolete parts place,I rebuilt the entire machine, some of the shipping labels were from the 1960's and 70's. The book says to set the knife clearance at 1/32, I have mine set to 20 thousands or less, takes less power and makes a nice clean square bale.
