I was told that in Canada, when you buy plates, you also buy insurance for the year. Puts an end to uninsured.
I was also told that not only do you need uninsured, you need a blanket policy incase you have serious medical expenses. A million policy won't cover much now days in the hospital.
The only people who need insurance are the people who have something to lose. Here people who lost their their privilage to drive, can drive a moped with no plates, no insurange. They get in wrecks too.
