Rust in fuel tank

I have a Case 580-CK and have started getting a lot of fine rust particles in the sediment bowl lately, sometimes blocking the inlet completely. I filter the gas going in so it has to be forming inside the tank. Does anybody have suggestions on how to remedy this, hopefully without removing the tank?
