Hi if I had $100 for all the complete time wasters The last time i sold 2 tractors, I could of given them to the genuine buyers, and still made more money than asking price on tractors. 1 was advertised no 3 point, guy came looked and told me go get all the 3 point and he'd be back, Just had time waster all over him, he had an IH b275, and wanted to use his 3 point stuff on an MF 1135, like the 6ft cultivator was going on a 130 hp tractor with duals L.O.L.
For the low ball offer guys I figure out, I say yes you can make an offer "But I reserve the right to make a counter suggestion".
When I was buying tractors guys used to call to look at stuff, they had for sale. they used to say make an offer, learned that can make a guy look stupid sometimes. So started asking for a starting point. their start might be $8000, so id say no I'm not even going to counter bid and wasn't interested. some of those tractors were junk and worth $1200 real time value. Figured that was better than offending them as we were so far apart on the real and their value. Regards Robert
