I finally got time to work on the Yamaha G1 golf car. It cuts out at low engine speeds, occasionally it will backfire. Seems to run better at slow speeds with the choke out. I took the exhaust off and checked the butterfly in the exhaust, it's there and works OK. I took the carb off and took it apart and cleaned it out, didn't find anything plugged or excessively dirty. BUT, the throttle shaft is loose, you can wiggle it sideways. That might be part of the problem. Can you get a carb kit with a new shaft or do you have to buy a new carb?? Where is a good place to get another carb reasonably priced? Any suggestions if I'm on the right track or not? Thanks, Chris
