When I was about 14 my job was grain truck and auger wagon. We started cutting so I went into the back of the barn stall to back out the truck. No lights in the shed. As I got her backed out I noticed a mouse sitting on its rear haunches down by the parking brake lever. I figured he would take off when I got to moving. He did. Right up my pant leg, which I nearly peed down. I shut off the truck and grabbed the door handle with the left hand and cinched my pants tight around my thigh with my right. The truck was still rolling when I hit the dirt and started jumping. He fell out and I accidentally stepped on him. Thank heavens everyone else was already at the field.
From then on I always tuck my pants in my boots when starting something that has been sitting loaded full of mouse treats.
