The snow thrower is hard to lift with the manual, but I think that Wheelhorse (Toro) has some helper springs available for the non-hydraulic version. : : : : Bill : : I have a 310-8 with the same blower as yours. It is hard to lift: You will either have a sore left arm or a strong one after a few good snowfalls. I agree with Dick that the unit works well as long as the snow is not too wet. You will have to move slowly to keep it from clogging; either high range in first gear or low range in third gear. Also, you must lift the blower in order to change directions and you will find chains especially beneficial. : : Good Luck,

: Bill It depends on whether you are on level terrain or of you have a slope on your driveway. On the level, if it gets too deep I do not think that the wheel weights would improve the situation very much. However, when you have to back up on a slope, it would be good to have the extra traction. Horsepower seems to be a bigger factor. My neighbor has a Wheel Horse with 18 or 20 hp and his does a much better job when the going gets tough. Al
