Every time I take my 8n LCG to a show someone will ask me why I did that to a really nice 8N. I tell them it wasn't that nice when I started and it was what I wanted to build. ( short spindles off of a 2000 LCG, 12'' front tires and 16.1 rears off of a FMC grove sprayer and the rear fenders cut out and moved down to keep them just a little higher than the fat rear tires )They look at a high crop converted 8N and never say a word but always question why I lowered one. I don't really care though. It's your tractor your time and your money do what you want. I have about zero patience with the correct police. A few years ago I sold an absolutely perfect 9N hood grill and doglegs to a fellow who took it and split it down the middle and made it fit a model A rat rod he was building. Turned out looking pretty good. So to each his own
