get a large pan or 5 gallon bucket, stick one drum end in pan or bucket and pour in a gallon of acetone- $12.00 to $19.95- and equal amount of Dextron ATF or just enough to cover plus width of little finger. Let set over night, then swap drum end to cover other drum, might have to top up fluid. Take a Harley adjustment tool- 2 pound hammer- and tap (not pound) on the soaked drum all around and at axle end. Next day swap ends and tap the one that was soaking, see if wiggle and back off adjusters work. Repeat for a week before trying heat- things will burn a bit if you do. When final disassembled, get a jar of Isopropol alcohol for rinse- it will be a bit mucky and the alky will evaporate after the rinse better than boiling water and dish soap- that is alternative wash and rinse that will work fairly well and less fire hazard. Left over soaking solution can be drained into a large can or bucket through a old milk filter and used in oil cans as cheap alternative to the WD40 now going at $1.99 for very small can. RN
